Landscape Enhancements Manager

Landscape Enhancements Manager

CoCal Landscape is seeking a motivated Landscape Enhancement Manager to lead our Enhancements Department. This role blends leadership, client relations, and business development to ensure top-quality landscaping services while driving growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Foster a positive team culture focused on service quality, safety, and harmony.
  • Provide clear vision and direction to ensure team members understand and achieve departmental goals.
  • Develop leadership and performance objectives to strengthen your team’s abilities.

Customer Service & Retention:

  • Cultivate strong customer relationships and maintain a goal of 95% customer retention.
  • Coach team members to build long-lasting customer connections and communication.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration between your team,
  • Account Managers, and Business Developers to meet customer expectations and deliver high-quality landscaping services.

Performance & Quality:

  • Collaborate with management to monitor departmental performance and goals.
  • Audit and inspect customer properties to ensure service excellence.
  • Estimate jobs accurately, meeting gross margin targets.

Business Development:

  • Partner with the Leadership Committee to set budgets and new sales goals.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Work with other managers on marketing, advertising, and growth campaigns.

Operations Management:

  • Meet annual financial and operational performance standards.
  • Oversee accurate bid submissions and pricing.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Maintain company property and materials effectively.

Employee Management:

  • Assist in recruiting and onboarding new team members.
  • Lead staff development through constructive performance and growth plans.
  • Oversee daily department workflow and provide promotion and salary recommendations.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of management experience in commercial landscaping or a related industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, Horticulture, Construction, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Dynascape, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, or similar.
  • Strong business development and client service background.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard workweek with occasional evening and weekend hours to meet expectations.
  • Work location is in-person with a private office.
  • Occasional outdoor fieldwork.
  • Company vehicle provided after 30 days, including for personal commutes.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work.
  • Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $90,000 – $115, (DOE, plus potential bonus)
  • Paid time off.

Are you an experienced Landscape Estimator Designer with an energetic personality, a passion for landscapes, and a talent for building relationships? CoCal Landscape is looking for someone just like you to join our team and make an impact in the vibrant Front Range Market!

What You’ll Do:

  • Estimate, propose, and sell landscape projects and takeoffs.
  • Create innovative designs and detailed proposals based on client needs and visions.
  • Collaborate with the installation team to ensure flawless execution of your designs in the field.
  • Proactively generate leads and drive business development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and help grow our customer database.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience with sales and project bidding.
  • Strong design skills using software like Dynascape, SketchUp, Creative Suite, and CAD.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Solid knowledge of trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, and basic irrigation.
  • Understanding of hardscape and landscape construction, including retaining walls, drainage, irrigation, and mass planting.
  • A friendly, outgoing personality and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation.
  • A degree in Landscape Construction/Design or 5+ years of relevant experience.

Small Engine Mechanic

Small Engine Mechanic

CoCal Landscape has an excellent career opportunity for a self-motivated and eager individual to work in mechanic shop as a small engine mechanic.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of large and small engines
  • Performing repairs and maintenance of two cycle engine repairs: lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers and snow equipment, spray equipment
  • Diesel engines
  • Ensuring that all equipment always operates efficiently and safely.

Position requirements:

  • Two years’ experience working as an auto and small engine mechanic
  • Experience in two cycle engine repairs: lawnmowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers and snow equipment, spray equipment
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Bilingual Spanish and English a plus
  • Ability to multitask
  • DOT appendix G safety regulations
