Jesus “Chuy” Medrano is the Founder & CEO of CoCal Landscape and a recognized leader in the commercial landscaping industry. With over 40 years of experience, he has grown CoCal from a small operation into one of Colorado’s most trusted commercial landscaping providers, managing over 400 properties and a workforce of 300+ employees.
A Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) and Chemical Applications Qualified Supervisor, Chuy has completed extensive irrigation courses and has been instrumental in implementing sustainable landscaping solutions across Colorado.
As the Founding President of the National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA) and a recipient of the NALP Trailblazer Award, Chuy has been a key advocate for Hispanic entrepreneurs and workforce development in the landscaping industry. Under his leadership, CoCal Landscape continues to thrive as a minority-owned business committed to innovation, sustainability, and client success.

Marisol Medrano


Marisol Medrano
As HR Director at CoCal Landscape, Marisol Medrano has been a driving force behind employee relations, safety initiatives, and workforce development since 1998. Starting as an Employee Relations Coordinator, she was promoted to HR Director in 2003 and has spent nearly two decades shaping CoCal’s workplace culture by implementing policies that prioritize employee well-being, compliance, and professional growth.
In addition to leading CoCal’s HR operations, Marisol is deeply involved in workplace safety. As co-chair of CoCal’s safety program, she facilitates monthly safety meetings, develops safety policies, and ensures compliance with OSHA standards.
A graduate of Metropolitan State University with a degree in Chicano Studies and Sociology, Marisol is also an industry advocate, serving as Committee President of the National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA) powered by NALP and a Board Member of Hispanic Contractors of Colorado (HCC). She is OSHA 10-hour certified, ASCA Snow Certified, and CPR certified, making her a leader in fostering a safe, diverse, and employee-centric work environment.

Stacy Parcell


Stacy Parcell
As Enhancements & Construction Manager, Stacy Parcell brings nearly two decades of expertise in landscape design, construction, and project execution at CoCal Landscape. Since joining CoCal in 2005, she has played a pivotal role in developing and executing high-quality commercial landscaping projects, ensuring every enhancement meets the highest industry standards.
Stacy oversees a team of three designers and estimators, as well as a 48-member field staff during peak season. Her ability to balance big-picture planning with hands-on leadership allows her to create functional, aesthetically pleasing, and sustainable landscapes that enhance commercial properties across Colorado.
Stacy holds degrees in Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver. She is OSHA certified and holds a Sustainable Landscape Management certification, making her a key advocate for safe, eco-friendly, and innovative landscape solutions.

Javier Suarez has been an integral part of CoCal Landscape since 2005, working his way up from laborer and crew driver to leadman, foreman, irrigation technician, supervisor, and now Account Manager. His firsthand experience in every aspect of the landscaping business gives him a unique ability to provide clients with expert advice, tailored solutions, and top-tier service.
As Northern Colorado Account Manager, Javier works with a diverse range of commercial clients, ensuring their properties receive efficient, high-quality maintenance, irrigation, and enhancements. His customer-first mentality and extensive industry knowledge allow him to deliver landscaping solutions that are cost-effective, sustainable, and aligned with each property’s needs.

Sergio Rojas brings many years of hands-on expertise to his role as an Account Manager. A seasoned commercial irrigation expert and certified backflow tester, Sergio built a highly successful career in the field, serving as a Regional Irrigation Supervisor for many years. His deep understanding of irrigation systems, water management, and field operations positioned him as a leader and trusted resource within the industry.
Driven by a desire to make an even greater impact, Sergio transitioned into account management. In his new role, he leverages his extensive field experience and technical knowledge to better serve our customers — offering tailored solutions, proactive system support, and a level of insight that only comes from years on the ground. Sergio is passionate about helping clients maximize the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of their irrigation systems, ensuring their landscapes thrive year-round.

With over 15 years of experience in sales and customer relations — and six years dedicated to the green industry — I’ve built my career on strong relationships, effective communication, and a passion for sustainable solutions. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Life Pacific University and have consistently stepped into leadership roles throughout my professional journey.
Before moving into my current role as a Business Developer, I successfully managed a $1.3 million book of business as an Account Manager. That hands-on experience gives me a unique edge, allowing me to understand client needs from the ground up and develop solutions that drive long-term value. I’m also well-versed in irrigation systems and sustainable landscape practices, particularly those tailored for Colorado’s unique environment.
I’ve had the honor of teaching key account management strategies at ProGreen, Colorado’s largest green industry expo, and I strive to lead by example every day — through work ethic, deep industry knowledge, and a commitment to excellence in every relationship I build.

Jose Hernandez


Jose Hernandez
With over a decade of hands-on experience in the landscape industry, Jose Hernandez brings a deep understanding of both the field and business side of construction landscaping. As Construction Business Developer at Cocal Landscape, Jose is responsible for acquiring new construction projects, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring every job is executed with excellence.
Jose’s background includes everything from labor and equipment operation to owning and operating his own landscape company from 2020 to 2023. During that time, he gained extensive experience in bidding and managing both residential and commercial projects, as well as overseeing commercial snow removal services for over five years.
He holds an Associate Degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design, along with a Project Management Certification from the University of Denver. Jose is also SLM Certified, a Certified Keystone Authorized Contractor, and holds a Concrete Basics Certification from Build Strong Academy.
Jose combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, ensuring each project is delivered on time, on budget, and above expectations.

Vickie Garcia
Vickie Garcia is a Landscape Designer and Estimator here at CoCal Landscape.
A graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture
She has a certification in SLM, Sustainable Landscape Management as well as over 30 years of continuing education and installation experience.
Some of her past projects are designing and overseeing the landscape installation of Miller Park Baseball Stadium, now American Family Field, the Ronald McDonald House, Prairieville Park Mini Golf Course,
Parkview Elementary Outdoor Classroom and many large residential landscapes.
Vickie is strong in project management, site analysis, design, soils, grading, walls, patios, and plants!
Her focus is on customer service, landscape design, renovation, and estimating.
She enjoys meeting with people and listening to their goals and requirements. After doing a thorough site evaluation she develops unique, quality landscape designs that are truly functional. She selects plants and materials that are cost effective, native and drought tolerant. Her goal is to make the world a better place by using her knowledge and gifts to create beautiful landscapes!
Outside of work Vickie loves hiking, sports, gardening, herbs, swimming, going to Maui and seeing humpback whales!

A Certified Landscape Technician, Raul has excelled in every role he’s held, proving himself as a hardworking, determined leader with a results-driven mindset.
Raul manages CoCal’s renovations and enhancements labor force, overseeing teams that execute large-scale property upgrades, landscape transformations, and specialized construction projects. In the winter months, he also leads CoCal’s snow removal crews, ensuring safe, well-maintained commercial properties throughout the season.
